Hammer Used To Steal $100K In Luxury Watches From King Of Prussia Mall: PD

Almost $100,000 in luxury watches was stolen in a smash-and-grab robbery at the King of Prussia Mall, the police announced on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Two men walked into the Breitling Watch store at the mall, located at 160 North Gulph Road, walked over to a display, and smashed the glass cases with a hammer, the Upper Merion Township Police Department explained. The incident happened at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Both men ran from the store with several high-end watches worth about $93,000, according to police. The robbery took less than 20 seconds from the time the two men entered the store.

Breitling employees told officers that they saw the men leave the store and enter one of the mall's back hallways, police said.

The first man is described as Black, 30 to 40 years old, heavyset, and with a beard, according to police. He was wearing a navy blue hooded Nike sweatshirt, navy sweatpants, and a knit hat. He had a small hammer concealed inside his sweatshirt pocket which he used to smash open the display cases.

The second man is described as Black, 20 to 30 years old, and with a thin build, police said. He was wearing a red and black Nike windbreaker jacket with the hood up, dark pants, and gloves. He was also wearing a full face mask. This man removed the watches from the smashed cases.
